Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reconstitute a peptide?

Draw bacteriostatic water (BAC water) into a syringe, then inject it slowly down the inside wall of the peptide vial. Do not squirt directly onto the powder — let the water gently dissolve the lyophilized peptide. Swirl gently if needed; never shake.

How much bacteriostatic water should I add?

It depends on the vial size and your desired concentration. Our calculator recommends a standard amount for each peptide, but you can adjust it. More water = lower concentration = larger injection volume (easier to measure small doses accurately).

What syringe should I use for peptide injections?

Most researchers use insulin syringes (U-100, 0.5 mL or 1 mL). These have fine gauge needles (29-31G) suitable for subcutaneous injections and markings in "units" (IU) for precise measurement.

How long does a reconstituted peptide last?

Most reconstituted peptides last 3-4 weeks when stored at 2-8°C (refrigerated). Some are more fragile. Our calculator shows a shelf-life estimate for each peptide. Never freeze reconstituted peptides.
