Thymosin Beta-4 is the full-length 43-amino acid peptide from which TB-500 is derived. It is the primary G-actin sequestering peptide in cells, regulating actin polymerization and cytoskeletal dynamics. It promotes cell migration, angiogenesis, and stem cell differentiation by activating the Akt signaling pathway. Tβ4 upregulates laminin-5 production, stimulates keratinocyte and endothelial cell migration, reduces inflammatory cytokines, and promotes cardiac repair through epicardial progenitor cell activation.
