GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide that binds to GHS-R1a (ghrelin receptor) and CD36 receptors, triggering rapid GH pulses from the pituitary. It activates PI-3K/AKT1 prosurvival pathways, stimulates phosphatidylinositol turnover and protein kinase C, mobilizes intracellular calcium, increases IGF-1 levels, stimulates appetite, and provides cardioprotective effects.
