Pre-Injection Checklist: - Clean, well-lit workspace - Freshly washed hands - Alcohol swabs (70% isopropanol) - New, sterile insulin syringes - Sharps disposal container - Reconstituted peptide at proper temperature Needle Selection: For subcutaneous injections, 29-31 gauge insulin syringes are standard. The fine gauge minimizes tissue damage and discomfort. Use 0.5" to 5/8" needles depending on injection site and body composition. Injection Site Rotation: Rotate injection sites to prevent lipodystrophy (fat tissue changes): - Lower abdomen (2 inches from navel) - Upper outer thighs - Back of upper arms - Keep a log of injection sites Sterile Technique: 1. Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab in a circular motion 2. Allow to air dry completely (30 seconds) 3. Pinch a fold of skin at the injection site 4.
